Concerning the Senkaku Problem

The Takeshima problem has quieted down, but recently there have been a lot of riots in China over the Senkaku issue.

Many Japanese officials, businessmen, and media people seem to think America will protect The Senkaku islands for Japan.

Well the answer to that is a definite NO.  America does not really want to fight China.  China owns to many US National bonds.  Also, in their hearts, Americans have always felt China is a more important country than Japan.  That is simply because of numbers of people, they look on China as a bigger market.

http://www.japantoday.com/category/politics/view/panetta-urges-calm-but-says-u-s-takes-no-sides-in-japan-china-dispute

America has now invited China to participate in military exercises.

http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/breaking/170289086.html

Americans have no understanding of how much Japanese people feel for America.

But if it came to war between Japan and China, Japan would win, without American help.

How to fight back against screaming Koreans: Fight back with facts.

Recently, one of my readers has referred to a post on my blog.

http://tokyomaxtalks.blogspot.jp/2012/07/how-to-counter-attack-on-comfort-women.html

This person is a lives in a small town in New Zealand.  The reader says that there are many Koreans in this town, and they are always accusing Japan of being a terrible country.

http://blog.livedoor.jp/the_radical_right/archives/52897396.html

Gradually, the local New Zealand people are becoming convinced by these Korean people that Japan is indeed a terrible country.

Well, my advice to my reader is to fight back with facts.

There never was a Korean war of independence.

http://tokyomaxtalks.blogspot.jp/2012/08/president-lee-myung-bak-and-his.html

Japan has paid a lot of compensation to many countries for the war, and especially Korea.

Concerning the Comfort women issue, the Korean government ran exactly the same program for US troops after the Korean war.

Well, since before WWII, most of the people who recruited Korean women for Japanese troops were ethnic Koreans, this is no surprise that they would do the same thing after WWII.

And there was no resistance to Japanese rule before and during the war.  Koreans were citizens of the Japanese Empire.

And even today, in the United States and Australia, Korean prostitution is a serious problem.  The woman are treated like slaves.  And it is Korean traffickers, Korean people who are doing this to their own people.

http://tokyomaxtalks.blogspot.jp/2012/06/concerning-comfort-women-memorials.html

http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/biz/2011/11/117_98737.html

For my reader in New Zealand, I know that there are many bitter memories about WWII in Australia and New Zealand.  In particular, many people who were prisoners of Japan, were treated harshly.

Well please tell these people that most guards of POW camps were ethnic Koreans.  The Korean guards in general were much more cruel that ethnic Japanese or ethnic Taiwanese guards.

Of course, the Koreans say that Japanese people forced them to be cruel.

http://www8.atwiki.jp/holhol15/pages/33.html

This is ridiculous.  Koreans were willing participants in WWII, as citizens of the Empire of Japan.  After the war, the Allied powers divided Korea into two halves, and yes there was a tragic war.

But for the Korean people to keep claiming compensation, no matter how much they receive, and to keep complaining about how bad Japan is, well not only is this a lie, it says something about the Korean people themselves.  And it is not pretty.

After visiting Takeshima and creating this present mess, South Korean President Lee Myung Bak is now in Europe, making noise there.

http://japanese.joins.com/article/385/159385.html

They are simply a very selfish and petty people.

I became very angry over Korean behavior during the World Cup of 2002.  It is obvious that they bought the referees.

The following Youtube video shows Korea versus Portugal Spain and Italy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkbv08ndsoU

And the insults against other teams by average Koreans.  This is not sporting.  I am an ethnic German, and when I saw the pictures of German players set up as funeral pictures, I was very angry.  And in the last Olympics, there was a lot of rough play by Korea.

https://www.google.co.jp/#hl=ja&sclient=psy-ab&q=Olympics+Korea+rough+play&oq=Olympics+Korea+rough+play&gs_l=hp.12...1679.7954.0.10472.25.23.0.2.2.0.340.2593.1j18j0j1.20.0...0.0...1c.1.ucioN67yeCA&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&fp=94cdfc6035a70c0d&biw=1600&bih=897

I think that these actions should be investigated, and Korea banned from participation in international sports events until they can show that they can behave in a civilized manner.

And to my readers in other countries, when the local Korean people keep crying about how bad Japan was, just tell the local New Zealanders, or English or Americans, that in WWII, Koreans were willing citizens of the Empire of Japan.  Fight back with facts.

Now they want to portray themselves to the world as poor victims, and receive more money, even though compensation has been paid.  They think that can cheat at sports events.

They are a cheating, immature nation.

September 2012 Osprey incident

On September 7th 2012 there was a near crash with an Osprey in North Carolina.

According to the Japanese government, the incident was not serious, merely that a cockpit warning light had come on.

http://www.japantimes.co.jp/text/nn20120912b1.html

The above photo shows the Osprey sitting in the field it landed in.

However, according to local people, there was a fire.  Smoke was seen coming from an engine, the aircraft brushed trees as it made an emergency landing in an open area.

http://www.jdnews.com/articles/landing-108077-precautionary-warning.html

The Japanese and American governments say that the accident is trivial, yet people are sure to have doubts.

Also, they keep saying all accidents to date are pilot error.  I think what happened in North Carolina was the heroic action of the Marine Corps crew to prevent a serious accident with a dangerous aircraft.  It was a near crash.  And Japan does not so many open areas like America does.

2) Drought, Climate Change, and American beliefs (Part 2 )

Here I will talk about American thinking on Climate Change.

In the link below, we have a report from the Department of Agriculture.  They predict that price increases will be short term.

http://www.ers.usda.gov/newsroom/us-drought-2012-farm-and-food-impacts.aspx

The business people seem to assume that eventually the drought conditions will ease, and things will return to normal.

They are not talking to the scientists.

There are Americans who understand.  I am indebted to Tom Englehardt of Tom Dispatch.  He is very honest, he is predicting starvation.  In America, and very soon.

And William deBuys.

Also, University of Michigan Professor Juan Cole.  He generally writes about the Middle East, but he also makes some very good comments about green energy.

But are so many Americans truly so ignorant?  Yes.

The greatest problem here is American Christianity.  I must say here that American Christianity is much different than in Europe.  In particular, American Christian Fundamentalism.  Really, it is like a cult.  Their teachings are very different from normal Christianity.  Basically, they think that if you believe in God, God will satisfy all desires.  Of course then God will solve all problems, such as Global Warming.  So there is no need for humans to worry about Climate Change, they can continue their lifestyle.  They are ignoring the fact that this lifestyle is causing pollution that is destroying the planet.

Roughly, this is half the American population.

According to this link by an American television science commentator, 78% believe that the Christian God is controlling evolution, or that God created humans as they exist today 10,000 years ago, evolution doesn't exist.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/28/bill-nye-the-science-guy-creationism_n_1834651.html

Powerful politicians such as Congressman John Shimkus, Chairman of the Environment and Energy committee, say we don't have to worry about Climate change, because after the Great Flood God promised Noah that he would never ruin the earth again.

Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney's Vice Presidential pick, Paul Ryan, says that because it snows in his State of Wisconsin, Global Warming is a hoax.

Many average Americans themselves think that by praying to Jesus, they will be saved from the drought.

http://blog.beliefnet.com/prayerplainandsimple/2011/07/a-prayer-for-rain.html

http://eatocracy.cnn.com/2012/07/18/praying-for-rain-in-the-arkansas-drought/

And here is the Governor of Texas, praying for rain.

By the way, in that link about Arkansas, the trees there normally lose their leaves in the fall, in November or so.  This year, the leaves disappeared in August.  The trees have shut down until they get water.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/04/us-drought-fall-foliage_n_1853884.html?utm_hp_ref=green

Well, in Japan we have a Japanese politician who says that nuclear power is safe because Nostradamus did not predict the world's end by nuclear power.

http://blog.livedoor.jp/amenohimoharenohimo/archives/65821870.html

It is really difficult for intelligent Americans to explain the most basic science facts when so many people get so emotional, and start quoting the Bible.  The religious people always say "The Bible is the word of God, how can you say God is wrong?!?!"

I think this is very hard for Japanese people to understand.  But when it comes to religion, so many Americans get dogmatic and stubborn.

In the 1930's dust bowl, some 350,000 people moved as their land turned to desert.

http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%80%E3%82%B9%E3%83%88%E3%83%9C%E3%82%A6%E3%83%AB

The above map shows the area affected in the 1930's.  Please compare it to the map below, the area affected now.

The amount of refuges will be enormous.  I think, well I think that this is the end of America as we know it.  There will be starvation and mass disorder in America.

This drought has been building for 30 years, there is nothing that can be done to stop it.

In Japan, many people depend on America psychologically.  They think that America is our big brother, America will always protect Japan.

To the people of Japan, we must prepare.  In the near future, there will be no more American military in Japan, they will be recalled to try and control the US population in this disaster.

There will be no more food exports to Japan.  Well if America does not have enough food, how can they send food to Japan?

Of course, it is possible that this coming winter could have a miraculous snowfall.  It happened in the the winter of 2010/2011.  Otherwise the 2011 drought would have been much worse.  But it is very unlikely.  And in any case, we cannot depend on miracles for the future, they are exceptional events.

In Japan, we are going to have to prepare, for a world without America.

1) Drought, Climate Change, and American beliefs (Part 1 )

Recently, Senator Baucus from Montana visited Japan, and urged Prime Minister Noda to ease restrictions on US beef.

http://www.baucus.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=1128

Well the above link is from his official website.  He  shows very little understanding of Japanese concepts of food purity.  I know, I once helped to introduce an American ice franchise into Japan.

http://tokyomaxtalks.blogspot.jp/2012/05/tpp-american-opposition-to-tpp.html

Americans have a very difficult time to understand that other countries have different preferences and needs than America.

But there is another factor about the Senator that I find distressing.  He seems to be extremely ignorant about the effects of the drought in America.

Cattle ranchers across the American West are selling their herds, on a large scale.  They do not have water or feed.  They are cutting down to a core herd of animals.

One rancher in Kentucky is feeding his cows candy, there is no feed.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/21/cows-fed-candy-drought_n_1819366.html?utm_hp_ref=green&ir=Green

Even if 2013 brings much more rain, it will take several years to restore their pastures and their herds.

Beef prices are falling now, but will go up severely from January 2013.

http://www.salon.com/2012/07/24/plains_ranchers_sell_cattle_as_us_drought_spreads/

And how is the outlook for the future. next year and beyond?

Very bad.

http://theextinctionprotocol.wordpress.com/2012/07/31/study-says-western-north-america-faces-21st-century-mega-drought/

Even the New York Times is predicting a 100 year drought.

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/12/opinion/sunday/extreme-weather-and-drought-are-here-to-stay.html?_r=2

So the Senator from Montana, he is trying to sell Japan American beef that no longer exists, and never will again.

Well, How can I say such a shocking thing?  It is quite simple, it is the truth.  last year in July, I wrote a scenario about American oil collapse.  In that post, I talked about American factory farms.

http://tokyomaxtalks.blogspot.jp/2011/07/part-ii-comparing-collapse-of-america.html

Take a look and compare these two maps.

The first map shows the location of factory farms in the US.  These are dairy, cattle, poultry, and hogs.

Here is the link:

Now look at this map of the drought on July 31st, 2012.

Here is the link:

The area in Extreme drought has not spread much in the past month, but the drought has gotten deeper.

Now compare the two maps.  They overlap completely.

Hog farmers are also in trouble.  They are selling their animals, and they animals have less weight.
